The INTEGREEN project meets the representatives of the Convergence Objective regions and of the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea of Italy

On January 23rd 2014 the Municipality of Bolzano will host a best-practice exchange meeting with a delegation of managers and public servants coming from the Convergence Objective regions (Campania, Calabria, Puglia and Sicily) of the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea of Italy, focused on the topic of sustainable development. The meeting will be open to the public and will take place from 10:30 on at the conference room of the Old Municipal Building of the Municipality of Bolzano (Portici Street nr. 30).

The event has been promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea of Italy in partnership with the Office of the Public Function of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in the scope of the project "PON GAS Ambiente", which is co-funded by the European Social Fund. The Ministry of the Environment and Protection of Land and Sea of Italy is in particular responsible of two actions (7A and 7B) which have as objective the institutional innovation in the fields of environmental integration, the strategic environmental assessment (SEA) and the environmental impact assessment (EIA). Action 7A aims specifically at ensuring the exchange of best practices and of technical scientific knowledge in the field of environmental protection.

The main purpose of the meeting in Bolzano is to put the premises for the replication of the local best practices in other regions, in particular in the Convergence Objective ones, and promote the use of the planning methodologies which the Municipality of Bolzano is following from a policy-making point of view.

The initiative will be closed on January 24th 2014 through the participation of the delegation to the Enertour organized in the scope of the Klimahouse fair. More information are available on  www.pongasminambiente.it
